Tch...
I see way too many injuries... which is completely against pk philosophy (cf my signature).
Moreover, many of these falls come from flips (cf episode2), which is sad too...

These guys are good, definitely. The level is high, Ilabaca rocks ^^ and it's pleasant to watch their runs, it's moving to see guys standing up after falling and continue their run...

BUT! the spirit of the "show" sucks. Even the idea itself goes against pk spirit. I'm playing Captain Obvious here, but someone has to say what's on everybody's mind, am I wrong?

This topic is likely to become a great mess, so let's make things clear from the beginning: high level, great moves, great filming and as a result, an impressive show.
But trying to overcome someone else's limits instead of your own is no good. And sadly, this is what competition is about.

Thanks for reading.
Peace.

I must agree.
Didnt see the will to move in any of them like they lost there playfullness, sad to see such a bad show.

"There are no shortcuts to any place worth going."

Skills are there, some more than others (Ilabaca, Jenkin move in a so natural way) but I also feel bad with the MTV kind of program : Huge images, they underline only the big impressive stuff, they insist on how dangerous it is.

My problem is for "us" traceurs, we know that they are strong and well trained. In people minds I'm afraid they keep painting the image of the "crazy rooftop jumpers" even if it's for a show. Some of them want to do well, I think, even if they are professionnal, but a company like MTV is too big for them to fight with.
And the competitive aspect of all of that is clearly uninteresting.

Feel the gibbon inside !

i think the only ones who took the competition seriously was the bad hosts.. the guys didnt seem to take it too seriously and just saw it as a chance to play with the boat.
over commercialism by MTV did kill it though :\

Well, even if they're on a show, when watching he vids below it seems they're just a bunch of friends having good time together. They're tracers after all

Big up!
Peace

parkour isn't meant to be like this with comps and stuff the way of parkour is to expand your knowledge to all other people who want to try and your journey on the way:-)
